Louisville’s defensive line has been one of the top units in the Atlantic Coast Conference the past two seasons.
And while the Cardinals defensive front was formidable in 2023, Jeff Brohm is focused on developing the units depth and talent this offseason.
Brohm knows the importance of a strong defensive front, especially watching Florida State’s defensive line dominate in Louisville’s ACC Championship Game loss to the Noles. FSU notched 14 tackles for loss while holding Louisville’s offense to two field goals and 188 total yards in Charlotte.
Louisville’s newest addition from the transfer portal, Harvard tackle Thor Griffith, could make a similar impact for the Cardinals defensive front as did FSU’s Braden Fiske, who earned third team Associated Press All-America honors after terrorizing Brohm’s offense with nine tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks.
