Louisville Spring Game Impressions
Quick post-game spring game thoughts, standouts, quotes and areas needing improvement before the start of the season
A friend sent his assessment of the Louisville Spring Game to me. I’ll post his thoughts then give my assessment of his assessment:
“Offense looks good at times. Need (offensive) line help. I like the defensive line - they’ve been very disruptive. Love the depth at receiver; (Jack) Plummer is at a different level than the rest of the quarterbacks, but (Brock) Domann looks okay as a backup. We have some good running backs. Should be decent after a summer and fall camp I think.”
My quick response: Ditto.
My somewhat longer response: The team Louisville fans saw tonight won’t be the same one we see in the fall. Jeff Brohm’s staff will definitely add help from the transfer portal on the offensive front and tight end. The skill talent is there, though an injury to Jack Plummer would derail the train. The defense looked like the ’85 Bears, but the offensive line heavily contributed to that appearance.
