After a miserable first season, Kenny Payne set out to completely overhaul Louisville’s roster for the 2023-24 season.

Since Louisville’s 4-28 season ended in early March, Payne’s sole focus has been on recruiting the type of talent required to rebuild the Cardinals into a winner.

Payne, in his usual stealth-mode style, completed the task Monday with a commitment from Top 100 2023 point guard Ty-Laur Johnson, a one-time Memphis recruit.
