Jeff Brohm sets lofty goals for first season as Louisville football coach
Jeff Brohm has high expectations heading into his first season at Louisville
Jeff Brohm’s goals for his first season at Louisville are easily quantifiable.
Win the ACC Championship.
Win every game at L&N Stadium.
Beat rival Kentucky.
"All of those things are important,” Brohm said Tuesday before the first practice of fall camp. "We won’t shy away from it.”
Louisville opens the season one month from today against Georgia Tech. Brohm and his staff have their work cut out the next few weeks trying to incorporate key transfers that were added to the roster following spring practice.
Fortunately, those transfers have been on campus all summer and Brohm said he’s pleased with the progress witnessed prior to the start of fall camp.
“I think it’s important we throw as much as we can at our guys early on,” Brohm said. "There are numerous components that weren’t here during the spring so we want to get a chance to look at them in full speed action and doing real football activities in a team setting. So that will be important to see how much depth we have at each position. I do think that we have the ability to develop some depth at certain positions that we did not have before. That’s great to see.”
