Jeff Brohm hopes top transfer class leads to immediate success at Louisville
First year Louisville coach proves adept at 'selling' top recruits on his vision for Cardinals football program
Jeff Brohm grew up in Louisville, starring at Trinity High School in the 1980’s. He played for Howard Schnellenberger’s Cardinals in the early 1990’s, before assisting both Bobby Petrino and Steve Kragthorpe prior to taking over for Petrino at Western Kentucky.
Having played on the Fiesta and Liberty Bowl championship teams, and serving as an assistant on the Orange Bowl squad in 2006 Brohm certainly has a keen understanding what it takes to win big at Louisville and it’s clear he knows how to sell that winning vision on the recruiting trail.
Many are picking Louisville as a ‘sleeper’ contender in the ACC this season and a large reason is Brohm’s recruiting success via the transfer portal. On3 ranks Louisville transfer class No. 1 nationally in its Transfer Portal Index. 247Sports ranks Brohm’s 27 new transfers No. 12 nationally, two spots ahead of rival Kentucky.
